I love this raisin and spice oatmeal recipe and have made it for my boys four times this week alone. It serves 2 big bowls of hearty, warm oatmeal.
– Rolled oats – Water – Milk – Raisins
– Nutmeg – Brown sugar – Cinnamon
In a medium saucepan, bring the water and milk to a boil over medium heat. Watch the pan carefully to avoid milk from boiling over.
Reduce heat to medium-low and add the oats and brown sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
Remove pan from heat and stir in raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cover and let sit for 3 minutes. Remove cover and serve!
