Fruit Compote Made with Berries

There is no sweeter, juicier, more delectable sauce for your pancakes than fruit compote made with berries! Made with only 3 ingredients and done in minutes!

About the recipe

– Berries (blackberries,   raspberries, blueberries   or mulberries) – Granulated sugar – Cornstarch – Water


Wash berries thoroughly and add to a medium bowl. Sprinkle with the sugar and let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Step 1

Combine the cornstarch and water in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.

Step 2

Transfer to a medium saucepan and set to medium heat. Stir in the cornstarch slurry. Bring to a boil then reduce to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Remove from heat and drizzle over pancakes or let cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
