Cake Mix Chocolate Muffins Recipe

Ingredients

  • 13.25 oz chocolate cake mix
  • 11.75 oz hot fudge sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place muffin liners in a muffin tin and set aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine cake mix, hot fudge sauce, eggs and chocolate chunks. Stir until free of lumps. Divide the batter between cupcake liners.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Serve warm!

Notes

  • Use a mini muffin pan to create mini muffins! Fill paper liners in the muffin cups nearly all the way full and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  • For an easy flavor boost, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Chocolate cravings? Boost the chocolate flavor! Create double chocolate muffins by adding a few tablespoons of cocoa powder.
  • Turn them into chocolate pumpkin muffins by adding 1/2 cup pumpkin puree.
  • Create chocolate banana muffins and add 2 ripe bananas to the mix in place of the eggs.
  • For an extra moist muffin, add 1/2 cup sour cream.
